Kwankwaso reveals fresh plot to destabilise APC - details emerge

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State, has declared his intention to significantly weaken the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Speaking at a meeting with former councillors, senior advisers, and stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area at his residence in Kano, Kwankwaso emphasised the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) commitment to grassroots mobilisation.

The former governor reflected on the NNPP's performance in the 2023 elections, where the fledgling party garnered a surprising number of votes despite launching its campaign late.

“Our hard work ensured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) managed only 15,000 votes in Kano. Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come 2027,” Kwankwaso stated confidently.

Kwankwaso credited the NNPP’s success to the dedication of his team. He urged supporters to maintain their focus and intensify efforts to build the party’s dominance in Kano and across Nigeria.

“We need dedication at the grassroots level. It’s the cornerstone of our strategy to secure victory in the coming elections,” he said.

The meeting served as a rallying point for strengthening the party’s foothold in Kano.

Kwankwaso reiterated the importance of stakeholder collaboration to achieve the party's ambitious goals.
