Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi has approved the establishment of a livestock farm by indigenes of the state under the aegis of Ekiti Diaspora Forum (EDF). Sanwo-Olu inaugurates new block at Ikorodu Primary Health Centre

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Friday, urged individuals, philanthropists and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to continue to support his administration by complementing the various development programmes. Police arrest suspect for allegedly hijacking N4.7m rice

The Police Command in Oyo State, said it had apprehended a suspect for allegedly hijacking and diverting 130 bags of rice worth N4.6 million. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, disclosed this while parading the suspect and others terrorising the state, over various offences at command headquarters on Friday in Ibadan. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 10 suspects were paraded by the command for offences such as armed robbery, car and motorcycle snatching, hijacking and diversion of trailer-load of cooking oil. Osifeso said the command Monitoring Unit arrested the hijacker of the truck of rice on Aug. 8 at about 8.30 p.m., upon receipt of credible information. Former Apple employer admits stealing trade secrets for self-driving car project

An engineer who had access to information about Apple ’s self-driving car project has pleaded guilty to stealing trade secrets about the project. The culprit, Xiaolang Zhang was a staff of Apple from December 2015 until May 2018 and his work function centred on testing circuit boards as part of the compute team of Apple’s autonomous car project. The former employee’s woes started when he returned from a month of paternity leave while still working with Apple at the end of April 2015. He had reported to his supervisor that he was resigning so he could spend time with his ailing mother in China. According to reports, Zhang had also revealed that he planned to work for an electric car startup in China called Xiaopeng Motors . The report further noted that once Zhang revealed his intentions to his supervisor at Apple, he turned out to be evasive after that period. MTN set to test 5G technology in 7 Nigerian cities

MTN Nigeria Communications has finally kicked off an open pilot of its highly anticipated 5G technology in seven Nigerian cities. The company yesterday, revealed it has picked seven cities which include Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Owerri, and Maiduguri, as locations where it intends to test the next-generation network infrastructure. With the successful launch of this technology, Nigeria will be joining South Africa and Kenya as countries that have formally launched the 5G network on the continent. Customers that have the enabled devices will be allowed to connect and try out the new 5G service wherever coverage is available.
