The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, on Thursday said that the Lagos State new law on Anti-Cultism had generally made the state calm and reduced the activities of cultists. NBS' data on the nation's economy, inflation and unemployment have been grim and unflattering for the federal government, which depends on these data for national planning and budgetary allocation. Operatives of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun, have arrested 11 suspected bandits terrorising residents of the state. Amotekum Commandant in the state, retired Col. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kaduna State University (KASU) Chapter, says 75 per cent of the university’s students may drop out of school due to the monumental increase in tuition fees. Its Chairman, Dr Peter Adamu said in a statement in Kaduna on Wednesday, that the students might have to leave because their parents could not afford to pay. Adamu urged the state government to rescind its decision to hike the tuition fees and engage relevant stakeholders on the issue in line with its Open Government Partnership.
