Africa Movie Academy Awards' 18th edition came to a rousing close on Sunday, October 30, with its anticipated awards gala night. Hosted by Funnybone, Chigul, and Kachi Offia, the ceremony was historic as Nigeria led with eight wins with Tanzania and South Africa following with four awards respectively. Tanzania's 'Tug of War' won the Award for Best Film and three additional award earning it the biggest winner of the night alongside and South Africa's 'Surviving Gaza', also with four awards. Ghana's 'Borga' followed closely with three awards.
