Victor Osimhen to Napoli got Twitter Nigeria hyped

Nigerians express delight at Victor Osimhen's move to Napoli.

After a long wait, Super Eagles striker Victor Oismhen was finally confirmed as a Napoli player on Friday, July 31, 2020.

It was Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis who first confirmed the move on Twitter before the club officially made an announcement of the player's move from Ligue 1 side Lille.

The announcement got Twitter Nigeria hyped as Nigerians reacted to the move.

The general sentiment was that of inspiration from Osimhen’s grass to grace story; going from poverty in Lagos to becoming the most expensive African player in history.

Protesters block East-West road in Rivers, demand action on poverty & hunger

The protesters chose to spotlight the East-west road in the expression of their anger over hunger, poverty and infrastructure deficit in the supposed viable business area. The ongoing nationwide protest, on Monday, spread to the Eleme/Onne section of the East/West Road of Rivers as a large crowd of protesters stormed the popular section connecting the Port Harcourt refineries.
