Leon Balogun also speaks to the Rangers' in-house channel of how proud he is of joining the club.
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has resumed pre-season with his new club Rangers.
Balogun recently put pen to paper on a one-year deal with an option for another year after his stint in England with Premier League side Brighton and Championship outfit Wigan.
A few days after he was announced by Rangers, the 32-year-old joined them in their pre-season training.
“Great feeling to finally get started and join up with the squad this,” he wrote alongside some training photos on his social media.
He later sat down for an interview for the club’s in-house channel and spoke of how proud he is of joining such an ‘incredible club’.
“It’s amazing, I’m coming to a club which has an incredible history and fan club. Unfortunately, I haven’t witnessed it yet but I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
He also revealed that his oldest friend is a longtime fan of Rangers and that they are proud of him joining the club.
At Rangers, Balogun joins his compatriot Joe Aribo who joined the Hammer in the summer of 2019.
