According to Italian journalists Gianluca Di Marzio, the 21-year-old will be meeting with the club with his agent.

With no deal agreed yet, Osimhen will make his decision after meeting with the club. There are also reports that the striker is hesitant on the Napoli move and would prefer a move to England.

Osimhen is a priority for Napoli who are looking to bring in a promising forward with club legend Dries Mertens past his peak at the age of 33.

The Nigeria international is leaving Lille after just one successful season with 18 goals in 31 games across all competitions.

The Nigerian scored twice in the Champions League with the goals coming against Chelsea and Valencia.

For his impact in the 2019/2020 season, the young striker got a slew of awards to his name including Lille’s Player of the Year and the Prix Marc-Vivien Foé, the award given to the Best African player in Ligue 1 in a season.

He was also included in Ligue 1’s Team of the Season.
