Reality check for Super Eagles as Nigeria lose top spot of Group B to Madagascar after a 2-0 loss

Debutants Madagascar finish top of Group B after their surprise win over Nigeria.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have gotten a reality check with a 2-0 loss to Madagascar who shocked the world to top Group B of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

After two consecutive wins and qualification to the second round already secured, the Super Eagles had needed just a point to confirm top spot in Group D but debutants Madagascar had other plans, scoring a goal in each half to get a shocking 2-0 win.

NYSC Mobilisation & Academic Standards – Raising quality or adding pressure on students?

On September 29, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved a reform linking the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation process to the National Policy for the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD).
