Saraki: Senate President finally dumps APC

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Saraki made this known in a post on Twitter on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Saraki made this known in a post on Twitter on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

He said “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

There has been calls for the Senate President to leave the ruling party following the mass defection of lawmakers from the ruling party in the National Assembly recently.

NYSC Mobilisation & Academic Standards – Raising quality or adding pressure on students?

On September 29, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved a reform linking the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation process to the National Policy for the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD).
