Ndidi was given his marching orders for the second time this season in the Premier League.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was sent off as Leicester City defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 in a Premier League fixture.
Ndidi returned to Leicester after the international break where he featured in the Super Eagles friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
Leicester City named Ndidi among the starting eleven for the encounter with compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho who suffered a broken hand injury on international duty on the bench.
Ndidi collected his first caution form referee Chris Kavanagh in the 24th minute as the first half ended goalless.
After Brighton missed a penalty after Glenn Murray failed to convert from the spot, Leicester City took the lead through Spanish midfielder Vicente Iborra in the 83rd minute.
Ndidi who has been a top performer for Leicester City this season was given his marching orders when he received his second yellow card for catching Brighton’s Shane Duffy in the 87th minute.
Leicester would go on to win the game after Jamie Vardy converted a ball through to him by Demarai Gray in the 96th minute.
The red card now rules Ndidi out of Leicester City;’s next Premier League outing against Newcastle United on Saturday, April 7 at the King Power Stadium.
