Dipo Fatokun: CBN directs banks to resolve USSD disputes in 3 days

Mr Dipo Fatokun, CBN’s Director, Banking and Payment Systems Department, gave the directive at the ‘Meet The Executive’ forum organised by Finance Correspondents Association of Nigeria (FICAN) in Lagos. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Saturday directed all commercial banks to resolve disputes arising from use of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) channel within three days. Plateau Killings: Herdsmen say 19 of their members were killed, 73 missing

This is coming after Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore said there will be no peace until Fulani herdsmen are given a share of the land and resources in Nigeria. The chairman of the Plateau state branch of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Mohammadu Nura has said that its members did not attack anybody in Plateau state. According to Nura, 19 of their members were killed and the whereabouts of 73 others are unknown. He claims that the corpses being paraded are that of Fulani herdsmen and not residents of the affected areas. Nura, who said the herdsmen are the real victims, added that they are constantly being maltreated. FRSC: Train tanker drivers to avoid accidents, Agency charges NUPENG/PTD

Mr Bisi Kazeem, Head of Public Education, FRSC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday that such training would minimise accidents involving tankers on the roads. The Plateau state police spokesman said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Kangan community of Jos South Local Government Area.
